Modes and Threshold Power of Fiber Fuse Propagation

چکیده

あらまし 通信用光ファイバ(SMF 及び NZ-DSF)におけるファイバフューズの伝搬速度と損傷形状の供給 光強度依存性に基づき,その伝搬モードを次の 3 種類に分類した.供給光強度が小さくなる順に,コア領域に閉 じ込められたプラズマがファイバ軸方向に長く広がって伝搬する円筒状モード,その広がりが前者より狭い単峰 状モード,及び半径方向の広がりが前二者よりも小さい不安定モードである.ファイバフューズの損傷形状とし てよく知られた弾丸形状の周期的空孔列は円筒状モードで現れ,単峰状モードでは空孔列が不連続につながり あった線状の損傷が残される.これらの伝搬モードでは,プラズマは半径方向に最大限広がった状態で伝搬する のに対し,不安定モードではそれより狭い領域を伝搬するので,供給光がプラズマに吸収されない比率が大きく, 導波路構造の乱れの影響を受けやすい. キーワード 光ファイバ,ファイバフューズ,伝搬モード,伝搬しきい値
